OrCam Glasses Could Help Blind People ‘Read Again’, Study Finds
This study included 12 participants with low vision with different disorders, all legally blind.
They were assigned tasks in which they had to use their vision to distinguish different objects as well as read letters, but most of them failed. After that, they were given OrCam Glasses, which resulted in over a 90% success rate performing the actions.
The participants found the device easy to use, and stated that they would consider using it every day.
Mark J Mannis, study co-author, states that this invention offers hope to patients unable to recover medically.

This is a very useful invention for blind people because it allows them to see the world how it is, and it allows them to make things that they couldn't do before, for example, drive a car.

Video shows Afghan woman's 'Taliban execution'

Video shows Afghan woman's 'Taliban execution'
A video of a public execution of a woman in Afghanistan has emerged. The woman had been judged by an informal Taliban court and killed shortly after with a shot in the back in the head, while a crowd watched.
This is not the first public killing carried out by the Taliban, similar videos had been released in the past. Last year, a woman was stoned publicly after being accused of adultery, and in 2011 a similar case happened.

"Anyone who knows about Islam knows that stoning is in the Koran, and that it is Islamic law”, says a Taliban spokesman.

This is terrible, is something that shockes you because the brutality and the cold blood that the Talibans had when they killed in this way. Acts like this take away your faith in the mankind

Mystery 'Alien' Spots On Ceres Could Be Caused By Salt New Study Shows

NASA have finally discovered what was the shiny spots that has Ceres (largest body in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter), and if it was for an alien cause

A new study published in the Nature magazine suggests that the most probable is that this shiny spots contains hydrated magnesium sulphates, formed by magnesium, sulphur and oxygen.

These spots had had an unknown origin for long time. In addition, this research suggests that Ceres has an outer shell and an inner core.  The study also says that there’s a bright pit in the crater Occator that could be a sublimation of water ice.

This news are a little disappointing for the alien fans because it rejects the possibility that the aliens are the originators of these spot lights

British Museum remains UK's most popular tourist attraction

London’s British Museum was still the UK’s most popular attraction in 2015, with more than 8.9 million visitors. London’s attractions has increased their visits a 1.6 per cent.

The National Gallery (5.9 million) and the Natural History Museum close the top 3 of the UK’s most popular attractions. (Both are in London)

London's British Museum remained the UK's most popular attraction with 6.8 million visitors last year

But the most popular attraction outside London was the Library of Birmingham, with 1.8 million visits, and the Edinburgh Castle took the overall top in Scotland, with 1.8 million visitors, and it’s in the 18th place in UK. The most popular in Northern Island was Giant’s Causeway, where it was filmed the series Game of Thrones, and the most popular in Wales was Penrhyn Castle.

The decreasing of the pound is making the UK a more affordable destination, and it could increase the number of visitors.

I suppose this isn't bad news for the UK people (I don't know, I’m not doing economy) because it mean that it has been an increasing of tourist and an increasing of money. I consider evident that the British Museum is the most popular attraction in the UK because it has the most exhibition of historical civilisations, for example, the Egyptians, with some mommies, and part of the Greek Parthenon.

North Korea threatens 'pre-emptive nuclear strike of justice' as U.S. and South Korean troops begin their largest ever military drills on the peninsula

South Korean and U.S. troops began their largest annual military defensive exercises to prevent an invasion of North Korea. This exercise would be the largest because of the nuclear test of North Korea

Kim Jong-Un had replied threating South Korea and U.S. with a nuclear attack if the exercises go on, although South Korea’s Defense Ministry hasn’t seen any unusual military activity.

But North Korea's National Defense Commission said the North Korean army and people would satisfy the greatest desire of the Korean nation through a sacred war of justice for reunification in response to any attack to them

Besides this, China is opposed to any trouble in the Korean peninsula and invites them to keep calm and don’t increase the tensions.

In my opinion it's difficult to say something about this because IT'S a controversial topic. We have to keep calm as much time as we can and, when it's inevitable, try to beat North Korea as quick as possible. It's paradoxical that to beat a violent and repressive nation to establish peace we have to use the violence, isn't it? A world without wars is A utopia but, we have to avoid as much wars as we can, to prevent the injustice

A hospital in Afganistan has been bombed by U.S Force Army. The head of an international medical charity has said that it was not a mistake, and a member of Doctors Without Borders has said that it must be investigated as a war crime.
This hospital, situated in Kunduz, was repeatedly bombarded and hit from the front to the back. This attack has killed 22 persons, including patients and stuff.

Obama has apologized for the attack, and said some investigations showed that the hospital was used to coordinate Taliban activity
kunduz hospital
This is a serious war crime. In that hospital there were basically civil people, who had been injured, not Talibans. if there were Taliban, they would send soldiers instead of bombed the hospital. They  have chosen the easy way

Piece of News 2

The last Saturday night, Brussels remained on its highest terror alert. The city was under a serious threat of a terrorist attack. The whole city had a huge amount of military and it remained very controlled.

The malls, the commercial centres and the underground of the city were closed. Even the sports competitions were cancelled to prevent. On Saturday night some zones of the city seemed as a ghost town.

The Prime Minister said that several terrorists that took part in Paris attacks had lived in Brussels. He also commented that Salah Abdeslam, an important and dangerous terrorist had crossed into Belgium the day after the attacks on Paris

The contemporary situation in the world is shameful. The people can’t do their life in a peaceful way because of the terrorism. The majority of the European countries have the high alert and every big city is very controlled as never before because they are main objectives to terrorists. I hope this situation could end soon, but it seems that can go for a long time.

piece of news

The Germanwings A320 plane co-pilot, Andrea Lubitz, crashed the plane intentionally. German Media say that he required treatment for depression, and the company Germanwings didn’t know that.
Data from the plane’s voice show that Andrea Lubitz purposely started a descent as the pilot was locked out of the cockpit.
Six years ago, Mr. Lubitz stopped his training because he required treatment for depression. The investigators found out the clues in the “black boxes”. Everybody died and the pilot couldn’t do anything to stop Andrea, who was very calmed before the plane’s crash. He tried everything, but that door only could be opened when it’s locked by the person who is inside.

Opinion

It's a very bad new to the whole world, because it died a lot of people and it did to some people fear to fly. After that, I think it will be changes in the cockpit rules for avoid situations like this. This incident was inevitable, because nobody knew about the mental problems of Andrea, even the company. It has been a catastrophe that we hope it will never repeat

piece of news 2

Researchers from Howard Hughes Medical Institute recently developed technology that makes possible to find out every virus you have ever been infected with analyzing a single drop of blood.

That method is called VirScan, and it can detect more than 1000 pathogens. A team tested 569 people from around the world and it suggest that many people have been exposed to the same viruses.

And it has a lot of utilities. This technology could help the investigators to prevent different diseases, for example, cancer. With that, investigators can understand the genome of the viruses and everything it’s easier to them to find new cures.

Opinion

This is a very good notice for the science, because we can prevent some diseases that can kill us. We are nearer to control and cure more mortal diseases that kill a lot of people every day, but it isn’t enough. The poor people die because hunger and the cures of their diseases may be expensive. I know it’s impossible to live in a perfect world, but with the VirScan technology we are nearer

Scientists at the University of Sheffield in England discovered a treatment that may prevent breast cancer from spreading to the bones, and it’s inexpensive.

The major percent of breast cancer deaths are producer because it spreads to the bones in the skeletal system, and with a drug we can prevent the spread of cancer about 30 percent of the time.

If this treatment is approved, patients will take those pills immediately after the diagnosis to prevent the spread of cancer. If the cancer spreads, it’s very difficult to treat. This treatment is now in testing phase.

Opinion

It’s wonderful. It’s a great notice to everybody, because breast cancer kills a lot of people around the world, and it’s better because it’s inexpensive, you only need a specific drug, and it’s more efficient than chemotherapy

After six years observing Mars, scientist of NASA have confirmed that the Ancient Mars had an ocean.  They said that it was probably the size of the Arctic Ocean.

The existence of a northern ocean has been debated for decades, and it’s the first time that it’s confirmed.  Some scientist found two slightly forms of water in Mars’ atmosphere. One is the familiar water (H2O), and the second is a heavier molecule, with another isotope of the Hydrogen, called deuterium. These two forms of water are also in the Earth, but the climate has great difficulty with temperatures, because it’s not high enough in the surface to permit liquid water.

Personal opinion

It’s very good news to the scientist research, because this has increased the probability of that it could be life in Mars, and maybe, we are nearer of understand the origin of the Universe with this project or the project of study Ceres.

The last 7th of March, in the Villa Park (stadium of Aston Villa), it happened something terrible.  After Yacob was expelled and Scott Sinclair scored the 2-0, the Bromwich fans ripped out some seats and throw it to the pitch.

And after the final whistle of the match, The Villa’s fans jumped to the pitch to celebrate the win. Some fans insulted and provoked a Bromwich player, Mcmanaman. During the invasion of the pitch, the Bromwich players were still in the pitch, and, in the opinion of Kevin Phillips, it was very dangerous for them.

This event reminds the “dark age” of the Premier League, the 1980s, were this was very typical.

Personal opinion

This event, for me, it’s ridiculous and embarrassing. I don’t understand why they do it, and what their objective is.  For the Bromwich’s fans, they could be offended by the result, or of the referee actions, but I think that throw out seats it’s not the solution. And for the Villa’s fans, I don’t understand why they jumped to the pitch to insult the opponent players. It has been an embarrassing event

The government of Colombia and Farc rebels have accorded to retire the landmines of Colombia, after more than two years of peace talks. This is because they want to reach the same objective, the peace of the country. This conflict began in the 1960s and it caused the death of more than 220,000 people.
The negotiator of the Colombian government said that it’s a giant step to the peace. From now on, the Farc member won’t carry guns and won’t wear uniforms.

Personal Opinion

In my opinion, this is very good news, because for the survival of the mankind we need peace, because with the technology of nowadays, we can destroy the entire planet with a button. Also is a good news for the country, because probably some tourists didn’t go to Colombia for the war and possibly now they will go.

Have you got a lot of passwords? Are you sick of remember all of them?

For that problem, the company Facephi has spent seven years developing a new technology, using 16 engineers in order to "simplify" our lives. Javier Barranchinas, head of research Facephi tells us that  this  technology is for have a facial recognition in cheap webcams for acces in your accounts.

This operation is very simple: somebody stands in front of a camera, the program FacePhi makes you different photos in microseconds and converts that information into numbers. The program can detect changes that one suffers when you grow up,your hairstyle change ... Of course, you have to use often so you can recognize change.

This program has an error rate of one per million abd it's also able to distinguish whether it is a photo or the real person, and distinguish twins.

Although FacePhi wants to use thid technology to access on your account on social networks or to see if you are able to driving, detecting if you are tired or drunk.

This experiment is a good idea, because normally you have to remember a lot of passwords but, if we are in the habit of don't use the passwords and only use this technology, the day which this technology fall down, anybody could acces to his/her accounts. Somehow, if we use with care, it's very usefull
